RHS Flower Show Cardiff kicks off the first of the major flower shows between 12th-14th April this year. Set within the magnificent showground of Bute Park adjacent to Cardiff Castle in the heart of Cardiff city centre, the show celebrates the best of springtime and encourages visitors to learn and grow as gardeners, inspiring you to creatively use your outdoor space.
Along with beautiful gardens, endless shopping and a plant-packed Floral Marquee, the show at Cardiff will reveal how gardens and exploring the great outdoors can benefit our health and wellbeing which ties in nicely with this years Visit Wales theme of “Year of Discovery 2019”. There’ll also be plenty of tasty eateries (for all you foodies) to make a stop-off for lunch, plus a host of demonstrations and workshops to get stuck into…
So from keen gardeners and floral enthusiasts to families in search of a fun day out, the show has all-round appeal and has firmly established itself as a key date in the gardening events calendar.
The RHS Show Cardiff has been held in the parklands of Cardiff Castle since 2005, and in 2015, attracted record crowds with more than 24,000 visitors from across the UK. The setting is particularly appropriate for the first outdoor show of the RHS season, as the parklands are hugely significant in horticultural heritage terms. The show offers an opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy the best of horticulture in Bute Park, ‘The Green Heart of the City’.
