Working airside comes with its own set of challenges, and this project was no exception. The task? Remove a large steel canopy from its current steel legs and carefully lower it into a designated area for refurbishment.
Our appointed person and lift planning team surveyed the site in advance, preparing a comprehensive lift plan and coordinating all necessary risk assessments and method statements. The project required the use of a mobile crane, which worked in tandem with our transport and lifting operatives to ensure the canopy was safely detached and manoeuvred with minimal disruption.
With all equipment and personnel operating under strict safety protocols, our experienced team executed the lift with precision and professionalism—on time and on brief.
The canopy will soon be returned, and we’ll be back on site to reinstall it to its original location, once fully refurbished.
