Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex - Sussex Transport is supporting the Kent Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance in two important ways. The Sussex-based company’s fleet of 20 lorries and vans will now be adorned by the charity’s logo plus a clear message of support for the Kent Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance to help spread the word. In addition, Sussex Transport will be supplying bubblewrap for the Air Ambulance – this is essential to keep patients warm in the event of trauma. Both these methods of support are much appreciated and extremely helpful to the charity.
Chestnut Tree House - Opened in 2003, Chestnut Tree House provides expert palliative care, practical advice and support to children with life limiting illnesses and their families right across Sussex. The only children’s hospice in Sussex, Chestnut Tree House offers care for children in a variety of different ways. A team of skilled nurses and care support workers provide day care or respite care in the house. Families can choose to stay in the special family accommodation at the house or leave their children in the capable hands of the Care Team while they take a break for a few days. There are also activity days and outings during the holidays for the children and their siblings. The focus is to ensure that children and young people have opportunities and experiences that they might otherwise not have had.
Chestnut Tree House is very much a home-from-home environment for the children and their families. It is also a place of love, understanding and caring, a place of fun, laughter, hope, friendship and yes - sometimes sadness.
Most of all - Chestnut Tree House is a place for living!
Rabbit Skips - The Sussex based family business specialising in consumer, industrial, building and domestic waste management, from skips & plant hire to providing a renewable source of green eco-friendly energy. Still run as a family business with an informal management structure, Rabbit remains firmly grounded in the local community, supporting numerous local charities and events with donations or waste removal & recycling services.
