MEWP Boom &/or Scissor Training
Course Objectives
To instruct delegates' both practically and theoretically to safely operate various types of Mobile Elevated Work Plaforms (MEWP) and to meet the standards set by NPORS or Sussex Transport | Training Division.
Target Delegates
This Sussex Transport | Training Division or NPORS accredited MEWP Boom &/or Scissor Lift training course is designed for any personnel who are required to use or work with a MEWP Boom &/or Scissor Lift.
Course Content
- Health and safety legislation, as it applies to MEWP Operators.
- Theoretical knowledge of MEWP operations including correct selection of a MEWP
- Operator's responsibilities, with regards to operator's manual and pre-start inspections of a MEWP.
- Familiarity with the equipment.
- Safe and best practice in practical safe MEWP operating methods.
Duration
1-2 days depending on experience and candidate numbers
Certification
We offer either Sussex Transport | Training Division or NPORS certification which will result in the candidate receiving a certificate and photo ID card valid for up to 5 years.
Course Assessment
Each candidate will undertake a theory and practical based assessment.
