Course Objectives
To enable delegates to safely select, fit and use abrassive wheels in the workplace
Target Delegates
For delegates who use angle grinders, bench mounted grinders and cut-off saws in the workplace.
Course Content
- Health and Safety legislation covering abrasive wheels in the workplace
- Type of abrasive wheels
- How abrasive wheels are made
- Abrasive wheel markings
- Wheel and machine inspections
- Safe mounting of abrasive wheels
- Safe use of abrasive wheels in the workplace
Duration
1/2 day to full day dependant on candidate numbers
Certification
Successful candidates will be issued with certification valid for up to 5 years duration.
Course Assessment
Each candidate will be required to successfully complete a theory and practical assessment.
