Over Head Gantry Crane Training


Course Objectives

To train and assess delegates' practical skills and theoretical knowledge to the standards set by industry best practices in the safe operation of Overhead Gantry Cranes.

Target Delegates

This Overhead Gantry Crane course is designed for any personnel who are required to use or work with an Overhead Gantry Crane.

Course Content

  • Health and safety legislation, as it applies to Overhead Gantry Crane Operators.
  • Theoretical knowledge of Overhead Gantry Cranes.
  • Operator's responsibilities, with regards to daily/weekly checks of machine.
  • Familiarity with the equipment and use of Operator's manual.
  • Safe and best practice in practical operating methods either with pendant or remote control operated Overhead Gantry Cranes.
  • A rigorous practical and theory based assessment.

Duration

This is dependant on candidate numbers and previous experience. Please contact us to discuss your training need further.

Certification

We can offer either NPORS or Sussex Transport | Training Division accreditation.

Course Assessment

Each candidate must successfully meet the required standards, both theoretically and practically to receive either NPORS or Sussex Transport | Training Division accrditation.
