Crane / Lift Supervisor Training


Course Objectives

To train and assess delegates' in the role and responsibilities of a lift supervisor within a lifting operation.

Target Delegates

This Crane Supervisor training programme is designed for any personnel who are required to work as a crane supervisor onsite.

Course Content

  • Health and safety legislation, as it applies to Crane Supervisors.
  • Theoretical knowledge of lifting operations as a Crane Supervisor.
  • Crane Supervisor's responsibilities, with regards to daily/weekly checks of lifting equipment and accessories.
  • Familiarity with the equipment and use of Operator's manual.
  • Safe and best practice in practical lifting operating methods.
  • Understanding and communicating risk assessments and method statements to all personnel involved in a lifting operation.
  • A rigorous practical and theory based assessment.

Duration

1-3 days dependant on experience and canidate numbers.

Certification

NPORS or Sussex Transport | Training Division accreditation and on successful completion you will receive a photo ID card and certificate valid for up to 5 years

Course Assessment

Each candidate will be required to undertake a theory and practical assessment in the roles and responsibilities of a Lift Supervisor.
