How Can Gaining A Qualification Benefit A Slinger Signaller?

Sussex Transport runs many training courses to help those working – or wishing to work- in the construction industry further their career.

The Slinger Signaller course is one of our most popular.

Our previous blog post looked at the Slinger Signaller role and its responsibilities.

But what qualifications do you need to become a Slinger Signaller? And do you need to go on a Slinger Signaller course to get a job?

Let’s find out.

Slinger Signaller Qualifications

There are several recognised accredited qualifications for anyone wanting to become a Slinger Signaller, all of which we offer in our training.

They include ALLMI and NPORS (and in addition offer our own in-house certifications too).

As well as acquiring an industry-recognised Slinger Signaller qualification, you will also need to follow HSE guidelines for safely handling and operating equipment.

Before taking a Slinger Signaller course, you will need to have passed the HS&E (Health, Safety and Environment) test for Operatives within the past two years.

Our Slinger Signaller Course will over the Health & Safety Work Act 1974, sections 2,7,8 & 9.

Benefits of Slinger Training Courses

By taking an accredited Slinger Signaller course, you are telling prospective employers that you are dedicated to the role and that you have the necessary skills for the job.

Yes, experience is – and will be – very useful for the role. But so will a demonstrable understanding of all that the position requires.

Getting taught the right information from professionals will not only help you gain more confidence, but it will also prove your dedication to the position. You’ve shown initiative and a willingness to learn.

On our dedicated page, you can learn more about Sussex Transport’s Slinger Signaller training course and qualifications.
