Sussex Transport, with it’s fleet of HIAB’s, Moffett’s, 18t, curtain siders, flatbeds, Sprinter and Luton vans, was recently asked to transport an order of bricks to Pulborough in West Sussex for one of its clients.
A HIAB vehicle made easy work of this work, lifting the heavy pallets with its crane.
Pulborough hosts an annual lawn mower race!
Not as quaint as it sounds, this is a big deal for the Sussex town – and is taken very seriously – it’s a 12-hour non-stop race starting at8pmand running through the night. Around 60 teams from all over the world compete – each with three drivers!
These lawnmowers can reach top speeds of up to 50mph – over rough terrain – sometimes landing the drivers with broken bones – as well as the obligatory bruises!
