Haulage to Hungry Hungary as Treats are Taxed!

As it’s European Freight side of the business expands, Sussex Transport delivered goods Portugal and Budapest last week.
The capital of Hungary, Budapest is said to be one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and attracts 2.3 million tourists a year!


Obviously keen to ensure their population get the same reputation, the Hungarian government approved the so-called hamburger tax on foodstuffs that authorities regard as unhealthy. The new levy will be enforced on 1st September this year. Hungary plans to tax foodstuffs with high sugar, salt, and carbohydrate content, and products high in caffeine…

Not sure how this ruling would make some of our drivers feel …. !
