Sussex Transport have a vast fleet of HIAB, Flatbed, Rigid and Artic vehicles operating in the construction industry every day and are no strangers to airside.Airside construction logistics often need to adhere to extremely strict rules governed and controlled by the airport itself. These often require, and include comprehensive planning, risk and method statements (RAMS), contract lifts and more. All with the aim of ensuring safety and security of construction crews, members of the public and airport employees.
Whilst we do not currently carry our own airside permits we are well versed in operating under your controls and requirements with permits issued by your teams.
Coupling our compliance and lifting team (complete with appointed persons, lift supervisors, slingers & signallers) with a superbly versatile fleet enables us to lift and transport almost any size and combination of cabins, welfare units or site offices. We are also experienced in steel works, poles, barriers and more. Our drivers are expertly trained by our in house ALLMI approved trainer and are hugely experienced in the field.
